ABSTRACT

Internationalization, knowledge, and rivalry have increased demand for talented individuals both in emerging and developed nations, helping them to achieve better development rates. Skill development is critical for Indias socioeconomic and demographic development. India must guarantee that its workforce has the required skills to take advantage of the demographic dividend. Talent development has become a primary concern, resulting in a plethora of initiatives, some of which are still in the works. The purpose of this article is to explore and analyse Indias present skill development situation, as well as the challenges it has in executing different programmes and policies. It also discusses current measures aimed at facilitating the transfer of young people into the workforce.
