Page No. : 133-142

ABSTRACT

This quantitative study seeks to better understand how government entities do when given more autonomy. Government institutions work to improve their efficiency in a dynamic economic climate marked by globalization, rising stakeholder expectations, and fierce market competition by cutting expenses, increasing the novelty of their offerings, and bettering the quality of their services. The primary purpose of this research is to investigate how decentralization, a kind of human resource management (HRM), improves the efficiency and productivity of government organizations. In total, 240 people were chosen as the study’s sample size. Participants came from a wide variety of government agencies and held a wide variety of positions within those agencies. The researchers took a quantitative approach and gathered information using standardised polls and questionnaires. The study’s results showed that government organizations perform better after being decentralised. Organizational decentralization was assessed by participants to be moderate, suggesting that authority has been delegated to lower levels. With a mean score of X for decentralization, it appears that many different people have input into making important decisions.
