Page No. : 17-25

ABSTRACT

Increasing an organization’s capacity relies heavily on the level of motivation that is present within its workforce. Every business nowadays has to be able to thrive in a market that is very competitive in order to survive in this age of globalization. The employees are the pivotal component in materializing the goals of the company into a measurable reality. As a consequence of this, in the modern world, each and every firm makes an effort to manage the department of human resources that it has in order to keep the motivation of its workers. In this setting, a wide variety of management philosophies and approaches have been operationalized. It is possible to measure the efficiency of company operations as well as their success in the market by determining the amount of motivation that employees have. The level of work required to achieve professional success varies from year to year, but one factor that is always important is motivation.Research articles on employee motivation reveal that what motivates workers today is integrally tied to their own beliefs and ambitions, which is one of the things that researchers are looking for in their quest to discover the sources of inspiration for employees. The 1970s marked the beginning of a period in which there was a discernible change in the ideals and aspirations held by the typical worker. The expectations that workers had of their employers also experienced a transition as a result of people’s increased levels of education and the severe drop in Protestant work ethics that the economy saw at the same time.
