Priyanka Dangi, Nipun Aggarwal
Page No. : 13-18

ABSTRACT

Hydroelectric power must be one of the oldest methods of producing power. Hydropower strategies have a substantial pliability in their design & could be designed to meet base load needs with relatively high capacity.  Hydropower has several unique features that are essential to contribute to national power because of ability that makes it respond quickly to any changing in loads, system distractions, & long life. In this paper we have explain how Hydropower plants capture energy of falling water to generate electricity. A turbine converts kinetic energy of falling water into mechanical energy. The scope of hydroelectric power production has been discussed in this paper.
