DEATH DURING PREGNANCY AND CAUSES OF INFERTILITY IN WOMEN

ABSTRACT

As we all know that infertility becomes a major problem in the world. Over 6,000 maternal deaths occur each year worldwide. Obesity and overweight also a growing problem throughout the western world, with more than half of the women in U.K and U.S.A being overweight or obese and up to 25% of women in their reproductive age being obese.      

Data regarding impact of overweight and obesity on fertility treatment outcome are conflicting, with some studies showing a negative impact on pregnancy rates. The death records remain an important source of maternal death however using only death certificate suffers from drawback because many times causes of death is not mentioned, especially if death incurred medico legal autopsy.
