OPTIMIZATION OF INDUCTANCE IN TRANSFORMER USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BASED SIMULATION

ABSTRACT

Transformers are heart of electrical transmission & distribution systems.  Aim of transformer design is to obtain dimensions of all parts of transformer in order to supply these data to manufacturer.  Transformer should be designed in a manner such that it is economically viable, has low weight, small size, good performance & at same time it should satisfy all constraints imposed by international standards. Several researchers are going to employ Artificial Intelligence techniques in order to performance analysis & transformer design optimization. A transformer is known as a device that has been made up of multiple inductors. One of this has been powered by AC. It is inducing an AC voltage across second inductor. The factors which are influencing the inductance are number of turns, area, length, permeability. In this research simulation has been made in order to get the optimum value of inductance in case of variable turns, area, and length.  As the number of turns increases the induction get increased. Induction gets increased with the number of turns. But the induction gets reduced with increasing length.
