A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF BODY COMPOSITION VARIABLES OF BASEBALL PLAYERS OF HARYANA AT DIFFERENT PARTICIPATION

ABSTRACT

The present is an attempt to compare some selected body composition variables [Body Composition, Body Fat%, Visceral fat, Body Mass Index (BMI), Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)]  of All India Inter college , Inter College and Under-19 School Baseball Players. For the purpose of the study 200 Baseball players were selected as subjects (100 All India Inter college players and 100 under-19 school players). The subjects were thoroughly acquainted with the testing procedure as well as the purpose and significance of the study.  All body composition variables were calculated with the help of Body Composition Monitor with scale HBF-361. Mean, standard deviation and “t”-test were applied. It was concluded that there is no significant difference in forced body fat(%), Visceral Fat, Body Mass Index (BMI) and  Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) among inter-college baseball players and under-19 school baseball players.
