A REVIEW OF INDIAN SENSIBILITY IN RAJA RAO’S NOVEL ‘KANTHAPURA’

ABSTRACT

In the present paper, there is an endeavour to fossick through various states of affairs like Harikathas, life of villagers and their notions about deity, religious matters, spirituality, caste prejudices and mythological devices to testify the novelist’s subtle Indian sensibility. Raja Rao is pragmatically widely known novelist, whose well received novel ’Kanthapura ’ gives a  cut and dried description of his Indian Sensibility writing in English. The novelist puts forward finer feelings about India by implying his unique style of applying Indian mythology.
