EXPLORING THE ACHIVEMENTS OF JUDOKA YASHPAL SOLANKI AT NATIONAL LEVEL

ABSTRACT

In India, Judo gains a significant fans following, because of the popularity of this game among the new generation. Indian Judo have very few medals at large global championships, but Indian players are regular medal-holders at Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. In last decade, Indian Judo improved their performance in Olympic and other championships (i.e. commonwealth games, Asian Games and others) because of their enthusiasm and will power. Success stories of international judoka inspired these young judoka towards the wining of medals in the championships. This review highlights some points about the success story of an Arjuna Awardee Indian Judoka Yahpalsolanki, his family background, their achievements at national levels and his message and experienced advice to the young Judoka of India.
