A REVIEW PAPER ON DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION OF AN EFFECTIVE ICT ARCHITECTURE FOR E-GOVERNANCE INITIATIVES

ABSTRACT

Technological change has always catalyzed organizational change. The most prominent of the recent advancements in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has been the emergence of the Internet, Web-based technologies (e-Technologies) and global networked economies. Today, e-Technologies play an increasingly significant role in our day-to-day lives. They have fundamentally transformed the technological, economic, political and social landscapes and have benefited all sections of society. A literature review is a simple summary of the sources, but it usually has an organizational pattern and combines both summary and synthesis. It gives a new interpretation to the old material and combines any new with old interpretations. The literature review may evaluate the sources and advise the reader on the most pertinent or relevant ones. Review of literature is a stepping stone which ensures the credibility of the writer in his or her field. The focus of the present part is to review the research work that has already done in the area of Information Communication Technology (ICT), so as to gain a comprehensive understanding with respect to the objectives, nature, structure, presentation and effectiveness of ICT programmes and also to identify the explored areas that need to be studied with reference to various dimension of ICT programmes. An attempt was made to scan through the related literature from various resources.
