ABSTRACT

A significant aspect of colonial India was the rise of communalism as a force that steered India’s destiny towards a bloodbath and the eventual partition of the Indian subcontinent along communal lines. While India was a country of many religions, creeds, and beliefs, pre-colonial India was never afflicted by the communist worm.
