NEED OF EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT TEACHERS IN THE TECHNETRONIC SOCIETY

ABSTRACT

Education is an important instrument for bringing out potentialities of human beings and the effectiveness of any educational system is mainly dependent upon its teachers. Teachers are the backbone of education system. A good teacher is a national builder. He/she builds character, trust, confidence, creates interest and has the capacity to turn a bad student into a good citizen. In this technetronic society i.e. a society that is shaped culturally, psychologically, socially and economically by the impact of technology and electronics and where there is huge competition, students face conflicts, stress and anxiety. So there is need to make our students emotionally balanced and for that there is a need of Emotionally Intelligent Teachers as it has been very truly said by Plato that All Learning has an Emotional Base.
