WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN INDIA

ABSTRACT

Women empowerment is playing a vital role in overall development of the nation as a whole. The subject of empowerment of women has becoming a burning issue all over the world including India since last two decades. Today scenario is in favour of women empowerment and women are coming out of their shell to face new and nuisance challenges. Women constitute almost fifty percent of the world’s population but India has shown disproportionate sex ratio whereby female’s population has been comparatively lower than males.
