This study focuses on realism in English literature and critically examines a few chosen poems by Sarojini Naidu. An introduction and biography of Sarojini Naidu, covering her birth history, parents, education, marriage, and role in the nationalist movement; an overview of Sarojini Naidu as an Anglo-Indian poet; the influence of Gopal Krishan Gokhale on her career; Gandhi ji’s role in her life; Sarojini Naidu as a politician; and how Naidu served as an example for students. An introduction to realism, its idea, definition, realism in English literature throughout time periods, qualities of realistic writing such as novels, poetry, and plays, as well as realism’s language and theorists. Sarojini Naidu’s realistic poetry and her poetic volumes are included. Her four poetry books are discussed in great length, and the qualities of realistic poetry are used to identify and support her realistic poetry. A range of realistic subjects that she addressed in her poems. Women are treated in length, as are genuine themes like the hardships facing Indian youth before to independence, Indian local flavor, and prevailing national issues. The study that shows Sarojini Naidu wrote realistic poetry and that her folk songs are especially realistic is concluded and summarized. It goes into great depth on what realistic writing looks like, provides instances of realistic writing, and shows how realism and Sarojini Naidu go hand in hand. There is additional discussion of Sarojini Naidu’s letters, which demonstrate how deeply Naidu’s poetry included realism.
