In that role, a teacher is a living example, and may stimulate or even stifle a child’s future sensitivity to inquisitiveness and learning, active or passive learning, meaningful and useful or harmful learning processes (thoughts/methods/techniques), bias toward subject matter, bias toward teacher personalities, bias toward teaching styles, relationships to other people who play a role as "teachers" to that child and a whole lot more including sensitivity to grades and the grading process. Depending on parental and other outside involvement, a teacher can affect the "value" a child places on learning and the learning process. In this paper I describe the role of teacher in the various fields of education.
