WOMEN’S POLITICAL PARTICIPATION IN INDIA: EXAMINING THE CURRENT TRENDS AND CHALLENGES

ABSTRACT

Women political participation is sounded as an important element in all varieties of advancement; still, the gender equivalency policies of India stay under scrutiny. After independence in 1947, there have been numerous tasks to increase the political representation of women by the decentralization of energy in colorful neighborhood tone- government establishments of India. The act of Panchayati Raj institutions has extended the engagement of marginalized parts of society, which includes women, into the selection- making position in political establishments. The paper seeks to identify the challenges of women in political operation positions in India, the most important popular nation. Findings from the look at reveal that there may be big progress in women’s equivalency within the leadership function; still, there are positive important limitations that still live for women to be energetic in the political realm.
