A large proportion of Bihar’s population (almost half) is under 30 years of age, placing India as one among many young countries on our global platform. By 2025, it is predicted that Bihar will be home to 25% of the global labor force. This research delves into the literature on youth employability in Bihar, focusing on the experiences of those from the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities over the past three decades. The present study meets a pressing need by providing a comprehensive summary of the most important publications and empirical studies on the topic of rural SC, and ST youth employability. Despite the abundance of research in this area, difficulties in finding and keeping employment have emerged as a pressing issue in recent decades due to inadequate education, training, resources, teamwork, and networks. The study also poses a challenge to researchers in the future to find a workable solution to the youth unemployment problem, as Bihar’s young people are its most vital and promising resource for a prosperous future.
