Vikram Singh, Dr. Bhagirath Singh
Page No. : 225-232

ABSTRACT

The rural population must be encouraged to embrace urban patterns of living within their own villages if urbanization is to proceed in a planned and controlled manner. It is referred to as urbanization. However, urbanisation is defined as the process of shifting a person’s domicile from a village to an urban area. Both are key indicators of a region’s socio-economic progress, and they are found in many places. It is interested in the process of urbanisation, which shows a ’migration’ from rural to urban areas in the context of the rapid urbanisation. As a result, the urbanization process deals with the transition from one place of habitation to another, which is signified by the term "geographic mobility."
