A STUDY OF CAREER MATURITY AND SELF-CONCEPT OF ADOLESCENTS OF EMPLOYED AND UNEMPLOYED MOTHERS IN RELATION TO THEIR GENDER

ABSTRACT

The present study was designed to explore the area of career maturity in relation to self-esteem of secondary school Students. The study was done on the sample of 120 secondary school students of Rohtak, Haryana. Career Maturity Inventory by Dr. Nirmala Gupta (2013) ,Self Esteem Inventory by Dr. S.K. Sharma and Md. S. Hossain (2015) were used to collect the data. Coefficient of correlation was performed to identify the association between career maturity and self-esteem and and t-value to find the difference in Career maturity of secondary school students with respect to gender. The study concluded that career maturity had good link with self worth. Male are more career mature as compared to female.
