India, like other developing nations, is still in the early phases of integrating ICT into the education sector’s teaching and learning processes. There are various elements impacting the use of ICT to improve teaching and learning in India’s institutions of learning, despite the presence of a number of limitations. ICT is an electronic mechanism of information capture, processing, storage, and transmission. It provides opportunities for teachers and students to operate, store, manipulate, and retrieve information, promote independent and active learning, and self-responsibility for learning such as distance learning, encourage teachers and students to continue using learning outside of school hours, plan and prepare lessons and design materials such as course content delivery, and facilitate sharing. Teachers will benefit from the integration of information, communication, and technology (ICT) in order to meet the worldwide need for technology-based teaching and learning tools and facilities. Information and communications technology (ICT) is recognised as one of the most influential variables in India’s future development. The utilisation of information and communication technologies is very beneficial for both instructors and students (ICT). The well-prepared training of teachers using ICT tools and facilities is one of the most essential elements for the success of technology-based teaching and learning. Professional development training programmes for teachers contribute significantly to the improvement of the quality of student learning. Future research should take into account other aspects of ICT integration, notably from a management standpoint, particularly in connection to strategic planning and policy creation.
