ABSTRACT

Rural development can be defined as a strategy which helps to improve the lives of rural. It includes rural people in this process in order to fulfill their needs. As per World Bank (2006) this process can be defined as modernization of rural society which leads it transformation from traditional isolation to integration with the national economy. It can be understand by not just change in the rate of income but also change in the lives of rural people with better life style, better food, health, jobs as well housing and security. Haryana is one on the leading contributors of food grain and milk. Rural economy, job opportunities are affected by Greening rural development. The attainment of developmental goals can also be challenged by environmental changes. Aim of this paper is to improve or upgrade the rural lives by suggesting some ways to improve the condition of rural parts of Haryana.
