ABSTRACT

Since the onset of the industrial revolution, there has been a steady change in the composition of the atmosphere mainly due to the combustion of fossil fuels used for the generation of energy and transportation. Pollution of the environment, in the cities, in the seas and in the atmosphere is increasing worldwide. Traffic pollution kills every year many thousands of people. Additionally environmental pollution is a cause of cancer. The aim of present paper is to discuss the effects of environmental pollution (i.e., air pollution, noise and light pollution etc.) on human health.
