The present study was an attempt to investigate the significant mean difference and correlation between locus of control & sports achievement of cricket players which are participating at District, State, Inter-university and National level. The sample of the study comprised 300 cricket players of Haryana state; age ranges from 17 to 23 years (male). IE Scale was incorporated: Collins (1974). In order to test the significance of mean difference between the variables descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA was applied and for comparison between possible pairs of different achievement groups, Scheffe’s post hoc test was applied. The correlations among variables were obtained by using Pearson’s product movement method of correlation. The result indicates that both measures of locus of control correlate significantly with achievement levels of cricket players but on different directions. Internal locus of control has yielded significant positive correlation with achievement levels of cricket players while external locus of control has yielded negative correlation with achievement levels of cricket players. The result also shows that National level cricket players are higher on internal locus of control as compared to District, State and Inter-University cricket players & District level cricket players are higher on external locus of control as compared to State, Inter-University and National level. It was also found that the cricket players having internal locus of control performs better in comparison to those exercising external locus of control.
