In Indian agriculture, livestock affect the economy of rural families by providing valuable employment through nutritive products specially in xerophytic vegetation where poor farmers cure their cattles from ‘Chipper ethnoveterian medicines’. So an area of arid zone is selected i.e.  Nohar Teh. Of Hanumangarh Distt., Rajasthan,  India. Wild and cultivated plants are selected that revealed 111 species, 96 genus and 44 families. Some concerned literature of ethnoveterinary is used for identification. Following datas are discussed – scientific name, family, local name, habit, habitat, type,  part used, ethnoveterinary uses, mode of administration, doses, duration and cattle type. An interview of elder persons was held which gained their knowledge from their parents, grand parents and neighbours. Total 283 remendies of various diseases were recorded out of which 69 were digestive, 30 reproductive, 27 sensitive, 141 infectious and 16 fevers. Majority of plant species are from Fabaceae, Solanaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Liliaceae, Asteraceae, Poaceae, Lamiaceae, Malvaceae etc. families. Various plant parts used have ranking as leaves> seeds> whole plant> fruit> root> stem> bark> rhizome> flower> bulb> twing= inflorescence= resin = tender shoot = arial part. The study of present paper seeks to help regarding development and conservation of ‘indigenous knowledge’ about traditional uses of plants in veterinary care.
