Xerophytic vegetation have a rich medicinal flora. The people have limited sources of income and less modern medical facilities. So plants and plant products are used for health remedies traditionally. So an area of Thar Desert is selected i.e. Bhadra Teh. of Hanumangarh Distt., Rajasthan, India. Wild and Cultivated plants are selected that revealed 144 species 120 genus and 58 families. Some concern literature is used for indentification. Following datas are discussed – scientific name, family, local name, habit, habitat, types, part used, ethnomedicinal uses, mode of administration and preparation. An interview of elder persons was held which gained their knowledge from their parents, ground parents and neighbours. Majority of plant species are from Asteraceae, Solanaceae, Mimosacae, Euphorbiaceae, Liliaceae, Brassicaceae, Fabaceae, Capparidaceae, Poaceae families and being used for the treatment of various diseases of nutrition, digestive, deficiencies, reproductive, sensitive, unconsciousness, infectious, fevers and hair problems. Various plant parts used have ranking as leaves> whole plant> root> fruits> seeds> stem bark> flower> latex> stem> gum, etc. are used. The aim of present paper is to develop, document and conserve the folklore and indigenous knowledge of ethnomedicinally practices of xerophytic vegetation.
