ABSTRACT

The research paper has focused on the definition of E Waste as per European union , the pollutants which form the e-waste has been pointed out. The methodology for assessing informal WEEE management systems, steps for E Waste handling including land filling, incineration, recycling, EPR and reuse has been explained. The treatment and its disposal methods had been defined. The new recycling technology through the use of PCB’s has been highlighted. The status of e waste handling and various obstacles faced by India are pin pointed followed by conclusion at the end.
