A COMPARATIVE EMPIRICAL STUDY OF FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF HDFC BANK AND BANK OF BARODA

ABSTRACT

Bank is the core element of every financial system and also plays the vital role in the financial markets. For the development of the country banks utilize the funds of the customers into productive purposes. The objective of the study is to compare the financial performance of HDFC Bank and Bank of Baroda. The study covers a period of seven years i.e. from 2013- 2014 to 2019-2020. The criteria of selection of banks are depends on the market capitalization of banks during 2019-2020. By conducting the research we can conclude that Bank of Baroda have to focus more on their strategies, strength and weakness as compared to HDFC bank.
