EFFECTS OF HYDROGEN FLOW RATE ON CARBON NANOTUBE GROWTH

ABSTRACT

Carbon nanotubes production and their synthesis on Si at 1180 Kelvin with H^2 . The valuable change in properties of CNT’s after half an hour with the change in hydrogen concentration. For detailed analysis with the help of SEM and TEM , CNT’s various arrangements of atoms, it’s strength and properties can be verified. There is two types of CNT’s. One is single wall carbon nanotubes and other is multiwall carbon nanotubes.Of these two types of CNT’s , Swnt’s are totally different from Mwnt’s . Multiwall carbon nanotubes and single wall carbon nanotubes have high strength . Both types of carbon nanotubes ,Swnt’s and Mwnt’s have high conductivity for both electric as well as heat .Both Single wall carbon nanotubes and multiwall carbon nanotubes are very high degree of elasticity.

Single wall carbon nanotubes and multiwall carbon nanotubes are very strong . Young’s modulus for Carbon nanotubes much larger compared to others
