ABSTRACT

In general Indian philosophers are connoisseurs who are experts with the system of Indian Philosophy. Every philosopher has his own school. No one interferes with the other schools of philosophy, but Vācaspati Miśra is an exception. He involved himself in not only orthodox philosophy but also in heterodox philosophy. He wrote various books on various schools of philosophy. Vācaspati Miśra has produced two commentaries- the Sāṃkhya-tattva-kaumudi and the Tattvavaiśāradi (Yoga bhāsya)  on the Sāṃkhya and Yoga respectively.
