ABSTRACT

Human body has become a major object of body modification and commodification in the contemporary era. Technology has played a significant role in altering human body through its various techniques or forms of body modifications. The role of technology is being aided by the enormous impact of westernization and mass media leading to the objectification of human body. The paper mainly examines the perception of both male and female college youngsters regarding the significant role and impact of technology on body modification and whether they lead to commodification of human body.
