Doraemon, a robotic cat from the 22nd century, has transcended its origins as a Japanese manga character to become a cultural icon and national idol. Created by Fujiko F. Fujio, Doraemon’s adventures have captured the hearts of generations, influencing Japanese culture, education, and society. This paper explores the origins, cultural impact, and enduring legacy of Doraemon in Japan. It examines the character’s influence on popular culture, its role in education and socialization, and its significance as a symbol of Japanese soft power.
