ABSTRACT

This study critically examines the intricate relationship between technological innovations and the evolution of social media platforms, emphasizing their transformative impact on contemporary digital ecosystems and patterns of societal engagement. With the rapid advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality, and data analytics, social media has transcended its traditional role as a communication tool to become a dynamic space for cultural exchange, political activism, economic interaction, and community formation. This research explores how these innovations have reshaped content creation, user participation, platform architecture, and algorithm-driven user experiences. It also investigates the socio-cultural implications of such changes, including the redefinition of identity, the proliferation of digital influencers, and the emergence of echo chambers and digital surveillance.
